On December 3, the Literature Teaching Symposium and Mr. Xie Yingying's 80th birthday celebration meeting was held in our school. More than 50 university literary teachers from home and abroad attended the meeting.

The main topic of this meeting is the idea of ​​reforming the teaching reform of colleges and universities under the policy of quality education. The meeting coincided with the 80th birthday of Mr. Xie Yingying, a professor at the German Department of our school. Professor Xie Yingying was born in Taiwan. After obtaining a Germanic language and literature degree in Germany, he gave up his work in Germany to return to the motherland in the 1970s and coached in the German department of our school. In the late 1980s, Professor Xie Yingying suffered from severe illnesses, causing paralysis of lower limbs, but still insisted on teaching and educating people in wheelchairs, and trained an excellent student from generation to generation. On the occasion of the 80th birthday, Professor Xie Yingying's students, relatives and friends raised their own funds. Professor Han Ruixiang, a German department, compiled and published the work of Professor Xie Yingying's work to select "The Poetic Beyond", and held the celebration.

At the celebration, President Peng Long highly evaluated Professor Xie Yingying's tradition of teacher ethics for decades, and introduced the development ideas of talent training and professional education in Beiwai.
