On February 4th, the academic seminar of the "Sino -Vietnamese Relations after the Thirteenth National Congress of the Vietnam CPC" hosted by the Southeast Asian Research Center and the Southeast Asian Research Association of our school was held online.

Zhao Gang, member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of our school, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 200 experts and scholars and students from China Southeast Asian Research Association, Xiamen University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Sun Yat -sen University, Shanghai Foreign Studies University, Guangxi University for Nationalities, and Zhengzhou University attended the meeting. After the 13th National Congress of Vietnam's political situation and the development of Sino -Vietnamese relations, academic discussions were conducted. The meeting was chaired by Mi Liang, secretary of the party branch of our school's law school, and director of the Southeast Asian Research Center.

Zhao Gang said that the healthy development of Sino -Vietnamese relations involves both the vital interests of the people of the two countries, but also about peace and stability in Southeast Asia. It is of great significance to promote the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam and promote the socialist cause of the two countries. Beiwai will continue to give full play to the advantages of foreign language majors, strive to serve national strategic needs, and promote cross -disciplinary research.

Zhuang Min, President of the Southeast Asian Research Association and a special professor at Xiamen University, Zhai Kun, deputy dean of Peking University and the National Academy of State, Xu Liping, Director of the Asia -Pacific Social Cultural Cultural Research Office of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Global Strategy Research Institute, former Guangxi Academy of Social Sciences Deputy Dean Gu Xiaosong, Director of the Vietnamese Research Institute of Zhengzhou University, Pan Jin'e, Director of the Research Department of the Marxist Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Ma Yong, Director of the Southeast Asia Research Institute of Yunnan Provincial Academy of Social Science , Liang Longlian, director of Yunnan Longyun Law Firm, and other well -known domestic issues in China have conducted a warm discussion on the development of Sino -Vietnam relations in recent years, the current problems, and the trend of Sino -Vietnam relations in the future.

Participating experts believe that the high -speed development of Vietnam's social and economic over the years has benefited from its political stability, which is particularly obvious compared with other countries in Southeast Asia. Since Vietnam ’s“ six major ”, Vietnam has made effective reforms on the political system, economic system, social system, and even the entire national governance system. The international status has been significantly improved. The "Kim Society" was held in Hanoi that Vietnam's strong willingness to actively participate in international affairs. From Vietnam to ASEAN multilateral mechanism, WTO, CPTPP, and RCEP, it can be seen that Vietnam will be actively integrated into the international System, supports multilateralism. For China, it is necessary to look at Sino -Vietnamese relations from the heights of surrounding diplomacy and the "Belt and Road", eliminating strategic misunderstandings and differences in control. In today's world, the world has faced a major change in a century, and the development of Sino -Vietnamese relations has a broad development prospect, and it will enter a new era of building a community of strategic destiny.

The participating experts fully affirmed the achievements of Beiwai's research field in Southeast Asia in recent years.
