From September 14th to 17th, it was sponsored by our university's comparison of civilization and humanities exchange Higher Research Institute, Sun Yat -sen University Guangzhou and Sino -Foreign Cultural Exchange Research Center, and West Studies East Joy Literature Museum. "Confucianism and European civilization: The encounter between Western School and Song and Ming Confucianism during the Ming and Qing Dynasties" was held at Sun Yat -sen University.

_What is the relationship between science and Confucianism?

38 scholars from China, Japan, Australia, Vietnam and other countries attended the conference. Professor Mei Qianli of Sun Yat -sen University and Professor Zhang Xiping of Zhang Xiping, a relatively civilized and humanistic exchanges of our school, made the opening speech.

From the perspective of philosophy, the conference discussed the Chinese and Western cultural exchanges and ideological collisions that occurred from the Western School and Song and Ming Confucianism introduced by missionaries since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Among the eight games held in just two days, the participating scholars focused on their own opinions around the theme of the conference, or from the perspective of the text, or from the perspective of concept, or through the historical materials of newly discovered.

Professor Zhang Xiping and the International Chinese Institute of Culture, Professor McRea, and assistant researcher Xie Mingguang reported their latest research progress in the conference and were valued and discussed by the academic community.
