On May 28th, the first Canadian Student International Forum, hosted by the Canadian Research Center of the Academy of English, the Ministry of Education, and the National Studies Research Base, co -organized by the Canadian Embassy and Harbin Institute of Technology.Students from more than 10 universities and research universities from North Wai, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Harbin University of Technology, Shandong University, Nanjing Normal University, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Inner Mongolia University, and University of Toronto at home and abroad attended the forum. Students from more than 10 universities and research universities from North Wai, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Harbin University of Technology, Shandong University, Nanjing Normal University, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Inner Mongolia University, and University of Toronto at home and abroad attended the forum. The theme of the forum involves many fields such as Canada's politics, economy, and culture. Zhang Jian, Dean of the School of English, said that the School of English hosted a number of student forums in order to help young students grow. Premier Li Keqiang pointed out that Sino -Canada relations are entering the golden period as an opportunity. I hope that students will contribute wisdom and strength to the promotion of the relationship between the two countries to achieve higher levels. Professor Liu Chen, director of the Canadian Research Center, introduced the various situations of the Canadian Research Center and forum. She said that the main purpose of the forum is to promote humanistic exchanges between Chinese and foreign students, encourage young students' scientific research innovation, broaden their international perspectives, build a future -oriented Chinese and foreign Chinese and foreign countries Communication bridge. Professor Elizabeth met with participants at the small lunch club at the center and communicated.
After the review of the forum academic committee, 3 first prizes, 8 second prizes, and 9 third prizes were awarded. Professor Wang Zhanpeng, deputy dean of the Academy of English, Professor Sun Wenli, deputy dean of the International Business School, and Teacher Yi Rui of the Academy of English, etc., and presented the awards to the winners.
