"Annual Meeting Of The 16th German Literature Research" Was Held In Our School
On October 21, the "16th German Literature Research Annual Meeting" hosted by our school opened in the library. President Peng Long, a famous Austrian novelist and playwright Peter Hand, and his wife attended the opening ceremony.
Peng Long welcomed German literature researchers from universities and research institutions across the country. He said that Beiwai has always attached great importance to the role of literature in foreign language education and research. Literature is of great significance in educational tradition and cultural heritage, and plays a pivotal role in the construction of humanistic spirit.
The conference was held for the release ceremony of the Hanks Collection, and the publisher of the Beijing Century Wenjing Culture Communication Company presented the collection of the set to our school together with the author Han Dike. Handek is one of the most important writers of contemporary German literature and is known as "living classics". "Hangquci Collection" was jointly completed by translators such as Professor Han Ruixiang, the Department of German of our school, and Professor Ren Weidong of the Department of German.
After the opening ceremony, Hangde Chan read the chapter of the work and delivered a speech. Experts and scholars and students inside and outside the school exchanged with Handek's creative consciousness, Austrian literary characteristics, and aesthetics of works, and the atmosphere at the scene was warm.
Before the meeting, Peng Long and the Hanks had a talks, introducing the development history, discipline construction, scientific research, and international exchanges and cooperation of Beiwai, and focused on the current status and development prospects of the German language and literature discipline. Handek expressed his appreciation of the development concept and achievements of Beiwai, and highly evaluated the important role played by our school's German discipline in German literature.
