On the afternoon of June 7, the launching ceremony of the "Aibei Waizan Alumni Fund" and the appointment ceremony of the 2012 Beijing University of Foreign Languages ​​University Alumni Affairs were held in the multi -functional hall of the administrative building.

The deputy secretary of the party committee, Wen Jun, delivered a speech on behalf of the school, welcomed the guests and alumni of the meeting, and thanked the alumni and people from all walks of life who supported alumni work for a long time. Deputy Secretary Wen Jun said that Beiwai attaches great importance to communication and contact with alumni. In 2005, the school established an alumni work office. From scratch, from point to face, starting from the establishment of alumni websites, alumni publications and information databases to build a bridge between alma mater and alumni, alumni and alumni. In 2008, the school launched the "I Love Beiwai • Annual Donation" event, and so far has received money and items donated by nearly 300 alumni. In order to be responsible for each donation of alumni and make good use of every penny, under the initiative of many enthusiastic alumni, the alma mater decided to start the "Aibei Funding Fund". On the one hand, thanks to the majority of alumni who once supported and donated their alma mater, on the other hand, each northern foreigner has come to pay attention to the development of the education of the alma mater and do his best to his alma mater tomorrow.

Ambassador Hua Liming spoke as an alumni representative. He said that he was an old alumni of Beiwai, a veteran on the foreign affairs front. It was the door to the alma mater to open the door of his own language, and cultivated his solid language skills and a solid attitude towards work attitude. He called on every northern foreigner to do his best to educate his alma mater. Chairman Yang Zhen initiated the "Aibei Wai & Alumni Fund Initiative" on behalf of the alumni.

The appointment of alumni affairs directors is an alumni liaison work started in 2008. It aims to recruit outstanding graduates from fresh class and grades, and continue to contact the same class and alumni of the same grade after graduation. This year, the school hired a total of 172 alumni affairs directors, covering 19 college and graduate training units in the school. Among them, 168 councilors, 36 grade officers and 27 student organization directors.
