On the afternoon of January 4th, former British University and Minister of Science David Willitz, and Counselor Jim Edison, Education Counselor of the Cultural Education Department of the British Embassy in China, visited our school. Principal Peng Long and Vice President Sun Youzhong met with David Willitz.Peng Long briefly introduced the development of our school. He said that Beiwai has currently opened 70 foreign languages, especially in English language and literature. Beiwai has established cooperative relationships with many universities and academic institutions in the world, and has hosted 22 overseas Confucius Institutes. David Welz highly evaluated the achievements of Beidai's talent training. He briefly introduced the cooperation model of both China and Britain in the field of education, especially the current status of cooperation between China -British universities. The two sides negotiated in the London area seeking educational land and investing in the construction of the Beiwai International Campus.
After the talks, David Wilitz delivered a speech entitled "The characteristics of British higher education, future challenges, and opportunities for Sino -British cooperation". David Willitz introduced the history and characteristics of British higher education, while looking forward to the development prospects of British higher education in the context of globalization. After the lecture, David Wilitz interacted with teachers and students.
