On September 6, the starting ceremony of the 2012 freshmen at our school was held in the gymnasium.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Yang Xueyi, the party secretary of the school. At 9 am, in the solemn national anthem, the ceremony kicked off.

President Han Zhen first delivered a speech to congratulate and welcome outstanding students from all over the country and various ethnic groups, as well as overseas students from all over the world and regions. President Han Zhen introduced the glorious history of the school's 71 years to the new classmate and the brilliant achievements of the discipline construction, talent training, and international exchanges.

President Han Zhen gave the twelve words "seeking practical learning, establishing virtue, Changshi, and practical" to each new classmate, and encouraged everyone to improve their knowledge, hard work, and healthy growth on the road of schooling in the future. A new generation of northern outsiders with a sense of mission and responsibility. "Through the truth" is to hope that every classmate must be honest and realistic in learning, not only has a wide range of knowledge, but also a broad field of vision; not only has rational thinking, but also strategic minds. "Correction of virtue" is to hope that students will be conscience and good in the future, maintain the heart of the redness, be honest to people, be responsible for things, adhere to their dreams in the hustle and bustle, and maintain their upward power in the prosperity. "Changshi Gan" hopes that students will grow up in practice, become talented in grinding, inherit the fine traditions of the country and society in Beijing, and contribute to the development of the country. "To practical" is to hope that students can hold their hearts, stand hard, stand on their heels in the future study, work, and life. To do things that are easy and meticulous, seek practicality and achievement.

Sun Fangan, Australian Ambassador to China, delivered a speech. Ambassador Sun Fangan said that Beiwai has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for exchanges and cooperation between China and countries around the world and made outstanding contributions. Ambassador Sun Fangan reviewed the history of cooperation and exchanges between Australia and North abroad, encouraged students to do things that they love and are good at, and formulate clear goals and plans. The exchanges of various countries have contributed.

Liu Biwei, an outstanding alumni representative, former Chinese ambassador to Ireland, and deputy general manager of China Aluminum Corporation. The alumni Liu Biwei uses the "The Analects of Confucius" in the "The Analects of Confucius" and encourage new classmates. I hope that students must study knowledge carefully, exercise strong professional skills, but also focus on cultivating the cognition of Chinese traditional culture. The cultivation with its own moral qualities lays a solid foundation for spreading the essence of Chinese civilization to all corners of the world, and for the improvement of the friendship between the people of the world.

Subsequently, Song Qiangtai, a teacher representative and director of the Department of Western Portuguese Language, Parental Representative, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau, Lian Bin, a student representative and the 2009 student of the School of English, the graduate student representative, and exploring the compound talent training project required by international organizations Student Yan Jiaying, Ouyang Yichen, a newer representative of undergraduates and students from the International Business School, and the representative of the freshmen of the international students, Mary Na Kuchukbayeva.
