"Chinese Canadian Research In The 21st Century: Review And Outlook" International Symposium Was Held

On June 13, the "Chinese Research on Canada in the 21st Century: Review and Outlook" International Symposium was held in the library. The seminar was organized by the Canadian Research Center of the School of English. It is the first time that domestic academic conferences with the theme of Chinese Chinese research on Canada are the first time in China. Nearly 30 experts and scholars from many universities and research institutions from China and Canada attended the seminar. The meeting was chaired by Gong Yan, director of the Canadian Research Center.

The Canadian Ambassador to China, Guy Saint, and Yan Guohua, vice president of our school, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech to unveil the "China Canadian Research Information Center".

Henry Yu, a historical professor at the University of British Columbia, a well -known Chinese historian, a well -known Canadian Chinese writer, the Canadian medal winner, Chong, and the deputy director of the Canadian Research Center of Nanjing University, and one of the sponsor of the Canadian Chinese Literature Society, Zhao Qingqing. The Chinese history and literature of Canada and the discipline development of Chinese studies. The group speeches and discussions were divided into three venues. Participants discussed the themes of Chinese literature in Canada, Chinese people participating in Chinese people, and their social and cultural life. Fu Meirong, Li Jinchao, and Wang Wenli of the School of English of our school respectively reported on themes of Canadian Chinese scientists' return research, Chinese definition of Cantonese and Chinese writer Yu Zhaochang, and conducted in -depth discussions with other domestic and foreign experts and scholars.

This seminar has promoted the development of Chinese Chinese research across the country. It has established a platform for communication and exchanges between Chinese and Chinese researchers and institutions between China and Canada, and laid a good foundation for the development of Chinese research projects in Canada in the future Essence
