Zheng Shujiu explained the positioning and concept of foreign language undergraduate textbooks. The overall design of the textbook should start with the investigation, and take the lead to carefully study the publishing similar textbooks in China, and widely absorb the concepts and functions of other textbooks for similar textbooks.

Zheng Shujiu composed of the "Modern Spanish Reading Tutorial" writing experience, and explained the overall design of the textbook. He pointed out that the writing of foreign language reading materials should adhere to the diversity of materials selection, and take into account literary classics of different themes, different literary forms, and different countries.
