On September 7, the opening ceremony of the official language of the Maldives of the Maldives of the Beijing Foreign Studies University. This is the first time that the Divih language courses have been launched in domestic universities. Zhao Gang, member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of the Beiwai Party Committee, and Sobah, Ambassador of the Maldive Embassy in China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The ceremony was chaired by Zhu Fangfang, a teacher of the Asian College.

Zhao Gang said that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Beiwai School, the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Asian College, and the opening of the Divih language course is of great significance. The school attaches great importance to the construction of the Divi -language major, and selects outstanding teachers to study Divih. With the help of the Maldives' embassy in China and the joint efforts of both parties, the Divich language course was successfully opened. The Divih is the only official language of the Maldives. It carries the long history and unique and splendid culture of the Maldives. The opening of this course will help the young generation of the Chinese younger generation to understand the history and culture of the Maldives and promote the educational and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Sorbach Rashid greets everyone in Divih. He said that Divih was originally used only in the Maldives, and this is the first time in history to set up a specially taught Divih in the University of International University. The opening of the Divih language course not only proves the long -term friendly relations between the Maldives and China, but also has become a model for establishing high -efficiency and development between a large country, a strong country and a small -scale country in the international community.

China and Maldives have a long history of exchanges. In 1972, the two countries formally established diplomatic relations. In the past half a century, the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries have continued to improve and develop. Beijing Foreign Language University, as the first Diviwich University in China, actively cultivates teachers and preparations for professional construction.
