On the afternoon of April 22, Charles Olderson (J.), a professor at the University of Langcaste and the famous language evaluation expert, was held in the library academic lecture hall. Vice President Sun Youzhong attended the ceremony and issued a guest professor of our school and a consultant to the China Foreign Language and Evaluation Center to Olderson.

After the appointment ceremony, Olderson gave an academic lecture entitled "Diagnostic Evaluation". He introduced in detail the development trends in the field of language assessment, the principles and processes of diagnosis and evaluation.

Olderson is an internationally renowned language test expert and a language test worker with rich theoretical knowledge and practical experience. He has served as the leader of the IELTS reform project team and the head of the European Commission's Language Evaluation Project Team, and has edited a series of books and Cambridge Language Test Series. His monograph on language assessment is the must -read of language evaluation workers.

The ceremony was chaired by Professor Tang Jinlan, deputy dean of the School of Internet and Continuing Education. More than 100 people including the British Cultural Commission, the Foreign Language Examination Department of the University of Cambridge, and the relevant schools in the school participated in the event.
