On the afternoon of March 16, Jay, the undergraduate teaching director of Harvard University, visited our school and gave a lecture entitled "Beyond the Lecture Hall -the 21st Century Teaching Law". The lecture was presided over by Sun Youzhong, Vice President.

The professor is the Director of Academic Affairs of Harvard University and Director of the Jewish Research Center. He is responsible for Harvard's undergraduate general education, freshmen seminar programs, international project office, Harvard writing plan, academic support project, and Derrick Burke teaching and academic center. Before the lecture, Han Zhen, the secretary of the party committee, conducted talks and discussed the effective exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in the development of teachers.

The lecture focuses on the new teaching methods of the 21st century, how students learn better, the limitations of lecture -type teaching, how to evaluate teaching, etc., and share the teaching experience of Harvard University. It is believed that traditional lecture type teaching has low teaching efficiency due to the limited memory of students, lack of timely feedback and communication, and lack of research -based teaching. The teaching experiments of Carl and its teams were introduced, and the traditional lecture classrooms and student -centered research classroom teaching results were comparative analysis. Experiments show that the latter's teaching efficiency is significantly higher than that of lecture -type classrooms, and students' test results are much better than lecture classrooms.
