On the morning of March 17, the launching ceremony of the "Excellent Teachers Training and Reserve Plan" of the School of English was held. President Peng Long attended the launching ceremony and delivered a speech.

Peng Long introduced the goals and tasks of our school's discipline construction and talent team construction, affirmed the significance of the training and reserve plan of outstanding teachers and reserve programs of the Academy of English, and expressed the ardent expectations of the early student team of the finalists and joining the school teacher team. Peng Long also introduced several practical things that the school planned to do for faculty and staff in the near future.

Zhang Jian, the dean of the School of English, introduced the plan in detail, emphasizing the importance of successfully completing the graduation thesis and the matters that need to be paid attention to when applying for a national high -level university public graduate program. Lu Xing, the secretary of the party branch of the School of English, encouraged students to establish academic ideals, improve academic literacy, and strive to become a northern foreign teacher with exquisite language level and subject development potential.

The "Excellent Teachers Training and Reserve Plan" of the Institute of English is an important measure to implement the strategy of implementing our school's talents and promoting the "double first -class" construction of our school. Graduate programs, select outstanding undergraduates to study at first -class universities abroad, go back to school to teach after studying for master's and doctoral degrees. This year, a total of 14 students in the English Academy were shortlisted for the plan. They have all received notice of admission from first -class universities abroad, including the University of London, the Imperial Institute of Technology, the University of Johns Hopkins, and the University of Pennsylvania. The "Excellent Teachers Training and Reserve Plan" of the School of English will help broaden the scope of the training of teachers of English language and literature, retain the outstanding talents trained in Beijing, and enhance the international level of the construction of the talent team of our school.
