From April 1st to 2nd, the academic seminar of "Georg Von der, a sinologist and linguist", was held in the library. The seminar was co -sponsored by the School of Global History and Foreign Language of our school, the Institute of Foreign Languages, the Asian Africa Research Institute in Berlin University in Germany, the East and West Language and Cultural Research Association of Berlin, Germany. During the meeting, experts and scholars from the linguistics and sinology community from home and abroad gathered together, and carried out extensive and in -depth in -depth and in -depth deepening of academic works, thoughts, and life of the famous linguist and sinologist in the 19th century in Germany. The discussion is divided into "Jiabai Lianzi and its era", "Jiabai Lianzi and Ordinary Linguistics", "Research on the Research on Ancient Chinese Grammar". At the same time, "Jiabai Lianzi: Life and Achievement Photo Exhibition" was carried out in the exhibition hall on the first floor of the library. Zhang Xiaohui, director of the Confucius Institute's Work Office, hosted the opening ceremony of the picture exhibition. The exhibition lasted for 15 days, and made a comprehensive introduction to Jiabai Lianzi in the form of pictures and physical objects. The precious information such as the relics, manuscripts and photos provided by the descendants of Jiabai Lianzi in the exhibition is still the first appearance in Asia.

Georg Von der (1840-1893) was born in a hereditary noble family in Germany and is a well-known German sinologist and linguist. The basic thoughts of common linguistics are proposed to become the pioneer of modern systnic linguistics; he has been in contact with his father and studied more than 200 languages. His family collection involves more than 2,000 foreign languages. He is known as the 19th century. Genius in the linguistic world. Jiabai Lianzi is extremely prominent among many sinologists. His "Chinese Jingwei" (1881) has a unique position among many Chinese textbooks. One of the works is of the epoch -making significance. For the first time, "Hanwen Jingwei" completely got rid of the prejudice of Europeans in Latin, showing the uniqueness of the Han and Tibetan language itself, and clearly described the Chinese grammar phenomenon systematically and clearly. His other giant "Linguistics" (1891) has accumulated for many years. Because of its opinion, it has a large difference between the relatively different language studies of the Indo -European language system that was popular at the time. The sorting of the context of development, we can see that Jiabai Lianzi has foreseen the development of linguistics in the 20th century, and he is far before his time. It is rejoicing that the pioneering research and thoughts of Jiabai Lianzi have gradually been known since the 1960s.
