From May 23rd to 24th, the eighth "Northern Foreign -Wan Huida Cup" Intellectual Property Simulation Tribunal Competition was held at the Japan Research Center. The competition was co -sponsored by our school's law school and Beijing Wanhuida Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd. and co -organized by Microsoft China. 14 teams from our universities, the University of Political Science and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, the University of Togo University in the United States, and University of New England, Australia participated in the competition.
Zhao Yan, deputy party committee secretary of our school, Yu Cco, Director of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, and Director of the State Copyright Administration Department, Jin Kesheng, deputy chief of the Intellectual Property Division of the Supreme People's Court, Zhang Yaoming, deputy director of the State Council's Legislative Education Department Zhou Yan, deputy director of the Property Bureau, Li Mingde, executive vice chairman of the China Intellectual Property Law Research Association, Paul Anderson, the chief judge of the Supreme Court of Minnesota in the United States, Huang Hui General Manager Luo Lifan, Cai Huiru, Taiwan Smart Property Court, and Zhang Xiaojin, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, attended the opening ceremony.
Zhao Yan highly commented on the significance of the "North Wai -Wanhuida Cup" Intellectual Property Simulation Tribunal. It is hoped that the Simulation Law Simulation Court Competition will provide players at home and abroad with a mutual understanding and joint improvement. Exchange experience and experience of intellectual property legal education to build a platform to further promote the internationalization of Chinese intellectual property education. The guests affirmed the contribution of the competition to the international education of intellectual property rights.
This year's competition invites judges and intellectual property professors from the United States, Australia and other countries, professors from well -known universities and research institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, as well as senior intellectual property lawyers. The case of the competition is adapted from the heated intellectual property case. After careful design, it involves the frontier of the copyright law. The competition strictly uses English in accordance with the general rules of the international simulation court competition, and use English throughout the process.
After two days of fierce competition, the University of Bond, Australia won the championship, Taiwan Soochow University won the runner -up, the Chinese University of Political Science and Law and Changchun University of Technology won the third place. The best book awards are Bond University, Foreign Affairs, Xiangtan University, and China University of Political Science and Law. Bond University's Ashley Runi, Lisa Bryce, and Li Jiaqi and Chen Xunwei of Soochow University won the Best Defense Award.
During the competition, the players showed outstanding English level and in -depth understanding of intellectual property related theories, showing the results of Chinese intellectual property legal education. The team leaders and players of each team agreed that in this international intellectual property law competition, they are competing with players from major universities from major universities. It is indeed a good opportunity to communicate and improve together. The selection and adaptation of the cases of this competition, the performance of the tournament and the performance of the players have been highly evaluated by the competition judges from the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, Tencent Research Institute, American Embassy, and multinational companies.
In order to show the achievements of the development of intellectual property and legal law in my country, promote the exchange of the legal property and legal community of Chinese and foreign intellectual property, and promote the internationalization of my country's intellectual property system and practice. In 2007, the limited company jointly launched a competition for the Intellectual Property Simulation Tribunal used in English. It has been successfully held for seven sessions. Nearly a thousand players have participated in the competition. It has had a wide range of influence and has become an annual intellectual property industry event.
Since its establishment, the school's law school has focused on cultivating outgoing, composite, and international legal talents. A large number of graduates have worked in intellectual property related industries at home and abroad. In the future, the school's law school will continue to hold similar activities to build a platform for further promotion of the internationalization of Chinese intellectual property law education, and to build a platform for the experience and experience of exchanging intellectual property legal education in various universities.
