On April 10, public diplomacy "Beijing Forum" (2016) was held in our school. The forum is hosted by the Public Foreign Diplomacy Research Center of our school and supports and co -organized by many units in the Public Foreign Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Peng Long, the principal of our university, Diao Xiaoping, Vice President of Hainan University and Executive Director of the Hainan Public Foreign Diplomacy Research Center, Lu Linxiang, chief of the Academic Affairs of the National Academy of Administration, Ai Ping, former deputy minister of the CPC Central Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Director Zhao Qizheng attended the forum and delivered a speech. More than 100 representatives from more than 40 universities, governments, think tanks and civilian institutions across the country were invited to participate in the meeting. At the meeting, our university and many units such as Renmin University of China and Hainan University jointly initiated the establishment of a public diplomatic academic community to strengthen the national academic union of public diplomacy and promote discipline development and talent training. During the theme of the morning, scholars excavated and built the basic science of public diplomacy from the perspective of different disciplines. In the theme discussion of the Political Science Studies, scholars vividly explained the operating methods and characteristics of public diplomacy, discussed theoretical innovation and practical innovation of public diplomacy in China, and shared the research results of the United Nations and public diplomacy and the political functions of public diplomacy. In the theme discussion of the theme of communication theory, scholars have put forward many new views: the diversification of diplomatic subjects and the individualization of media exchanges will automatically put the initiative of diplomacy to the object. On this basis, it is constantly updated and improved. In the discussion of cultural sociological themes, scholars introduced social capital theory in public diplomacy, cultural perspectives and practices of women's diplomacy, experienced learning and public diplomacy and cultural public expansion and diplomatic definition.

In the afternoon practical theme link, the academic and the industry had fiercely collided. In the discussion of the government's public diplomatic theme, the Public Foreign Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that public diplomacy should enter the "melting" stage from the "plus" stage as soon as possible. Scholars are constructed with the strategic construction of virtual space and real world, and government public diplomacy research on foreign think tanks and other speeches. It responded to some of the demands of the industry. In the local public diplomacy, the industry and academic circles explain how well my country ’s policies and policies, how local think tanks serve urban public diplomacy, and the topics such as overseas Chinese and public diplomacy shared cases and views. In the theme of corporate internationalization, scholars and some business managers have explored the talent training model in the internationalization of the enterprise, the Chinese path of public diplomacy for enterprises, and the internationalization of enterprises. Finally, in the theme of social organizations, the industry guests shared public diplomatic practice of some civil exchanges, charity organizations, and overseas groups, emphasized the importance of grassroots organizations in the public diplomatic field, and guided public diplomatic disciplines to practice again.

The purpose of this forum aims to strengthen exchanges, integrate academic, and serve the society, and gradually establish a public diplomacy "Chinese school" to depict a beautiful blueprint.
