On the afternoon of October 24, President Peng Long went to the Institute of English to investigate, attended the party and government joint meeting of the Academy of English, and had a discussion with representatives of young teachers in the college. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Jian, dean of the Academy of English.

At the party and government joint meeting of the English Academy, Zhang Jian reported the main work and college development plan carried out by the college in recent years, and introduced the teaching and scientific research, talent training and project declarations that are currently being carried out. Members of the Party and Government Joint Association of English at the School of English, in accordance with the issues that were collected before the meeting, submitted a collective discussion and decision to submit the meeting in charge. Peng Long put forward constructive opinions on some issues and stated that the school will give more support to the construction and development of the English Academy.

After the meeting, Peng Long had a discussion with representatives of nearly 20 young teachers at the School of English. Lu Xing, secretary of the Party Branch of the Institute of English, introduced the teacher representatives who participated in the symposium. The representatives of the teachers of the meeting exchanged their ideas with the principal on the issues that they knew and cared for.

Peng Long's development of the English Academy, especially for improving the training mechanism of teachers and talent introduction, improving the professional title review system, strengthening the construction of academic journals, improving the benefits of faculty and staff, and resolving the difficulties of teaching staff.
