The number of people who listened that night exceeded the number of applicants. Seven undergraduates and graduate students in English, Chinese, and Japanese participated in the first lecture. Mr. Aho, a foreign teacher, introduced the general situation of the national conditions and language and culture of the Kingdom of Tonga, and led everyone to learn the Tangjia alphabet, phonetic and pronunciation methods.

The "Tonga Language and Cultural Getting Started" course received strong support from the Tangjia Kingdom in China. Wang Wenli, a teacher who is responsible for building Tangjia -language major, also attended the class and shared his experience in Tanga language with students.

Tonga is the only island country in the South Pacific region that maintains the constitutional monarchy. It is also an important part of my country's "Belt and Road" initiative in China. It has a considerable influence in many island countries in the South Pacific. For a long time, only educational institutions in Western countries such as Australia, New Zealand, and the United States have launched Tonga language courses. In China, Tangjia language teaching and research are still blank fields. As the third foreign language course, the Tongar language course was included in the school -opening curriculum system, creating the precedent of domestic Tonga language and even Namjojima.

It is understood that the four languages ​​such as Tangjia and Maori, Samo, and Fiji are the first batch of non -common language majors in the English Academy. They will be enrolled in the country in the future.
