From July 5th to 6th, the "first functional linguistic integration and development of high -end forums and Mr. Han Liide Commemorative Seminar" was held in our school. Assistant principal, the director of the China Foreign Language and Education Research Center and the National Language Capability Development Research Center, Professor Wang Wenbin, deputy dean of Xu Guozhang's Language Higher Research Institute, gave the opening speech. Professor Huang Guowen, dean of the college, closed his resignation. The opening ceremony and closing ceremony of the forum were chaired by He Wei, deputy director of the China Foreign Languages ​​and Education Research Center and the Deputy Director of the National Language Proficiency Development Research Center, and assistant to the dean of the Xu Guozhang Language Higher Research Institute. More than 150 scholars, teachers, and graduate students from more than 70 colleges and universities across the country participated in the forum through offline or online. After more than half a century of development, system functional linguistics has become one of the most influential linguistic theories in the world. The depth and the breadth of its theoretical research have been significantly improved. At present, the internal and external parts of the system functional language show the general trend of integration and complementarity. Internally, the Sydney model and the couple model are complementary; external speaking, other linguistic theories with criticism of discourse analysis, multi -mode discourse analysis, ecological discourse analysis, comparison of linguistics, language types, cognitive linguistics, etc. Large connect with genre and other disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, cognitive science, computer science, and ecology. Today, the cross and integration between disciplines is a general trend of development. In view of this, this forum focuses on the internal functional linguistics of the system and the integration with other linguistics theory and genre to promote and lead the further innovation and development of system functional ideas.

Experts and scholars attending the forum and other participants all said that the theme of the forum conforms to the development trend of linguistics theory, reflects the current thinking of the academic community, and leads the next development of functional linguistics.

This forum continues the flexible form of online participation and offline conferences. The academic influence is fast and widely spread, and it has received high attention and good evaluation of the academic community.
