On the evening of May 5th, the sixth lecture of the "World Culture Culture" series of lectures was held in the e -education hall. Professor Xu Zhenzhou, director of the Department of Political Science, Peking University, and doctoral supervisor Xu Zhenzhou gave a lecture entitled "The Connotation and Prospects of Democraticism" for the teachers and students of the school. The lecture was chaired by Professor Zhang Zhizhou of the School of International Relations.
Xu Zhenzhou analyzes democracy from the two levels of system and ideas. The core of the former is the election system, and the latter is democraticism based on equality. He believes that one of the hot topics of political science research in the 20th century is the growth and popularization of democratic systems worldwide. After entering the 21st century, the applicability and prospects of it were endless. Democracy at the institutional level may not be able to prove its own effectiveness, but it may not encounter real obstacles in practice. The concept of equality is incompatible with the elite tradition of this culture, which is difficult to recognize by the Chinese people. If the western economic and social crisis continues to develop, it once claims that the history of history has ended, and it may be challenged in China first.
In the question session, the teachers and students on the scene conducted in -depth exchanges with Xu Zhenzhou on the academic concepts of democracy and the Middle East democracy.
This lecture is the last lecture on campus culture lectures of this semester. This semester, the successful hosting of the six lectures has been strongly supported by the Japanese Department, Russian Academy, French Department, Arabic Department, European Language and Culture College, and Asia -Africa College. In the future, the Academic Affairs Office will continue to cooperate closely with the Propaganda Department and the Department of the Department to hold more exciting lectures.
